Multi-account MCP connector

Every inbox you own, in one AI search.

Your AI assistant can only see one email account. Throughline gives it all of them — search across every Gmail you have from Claude, Perplexity, or any MCP client, every result labeled by source.

Read-only access · AES-256 encrypted · 2-minute setup

Works with any MCP client Claude Perplexity Cursor Claude Desktop …and any tool that speaks MCP
The one-account ceiling

You have five inboxes. Your AI sees one.

Personal, work, the side project, the client alias, the old domain you still get invoices on. Native AI email connectors bind to a single account — so every cross-inbox question falls back to you, switching tabs and copy-pasting.

A native single-account connector

  • One Google login, one inbox. Add another account? Disconnect the first.
  • "Did that invoice come to my work or personal address?" → you go look.
  • No way to tell the assistant which inbox a result came from.

Throughline

  • + Connect as many Gmail accounts as you want, each with a nickname.
  • + One query fans out across all of them and comes back merged.
  • + Every result is labeled by source[work], [personal] — so the answer is unambiguous.
Setup, once

Live in about two minutes.

No install, no extension. Throughline is a hosted connector you point your AI client at — the same way you'd add any MCP server.

STEP 01

Sign in & add your inboxes

Log in with an email link, then connect each Gmail account through Google's own consent screen. Give each one a nickname.

STEP 02

Point your AI at one URL

Add Throughline as a custom connector in Claude, Perplexity, or any MCP client. It handles the OAuth handshake for you.

STEP 03

Search everything at once

Ask in plain language. search_messages runs across account="all" and returns merged, source-tagged results.

What you get

Built for people who live in more than one inbox.

Cross-account fan-out

One search hits every connected inbox in parallel and merges the results — no more asking the same question five times.

Source labeling

Each result carries the inbox it came from. The assistant — and you — always know whether it was the work or personal account.

Client-agnostic

Anything that speaks the Model Context Protocol works — Claude, Perplexity, Cursor, and whatever ships next. No lock-in.

Read-only by design

Throughline requests Gmail's readonly scope only. It can search and read — it can never send, delete, or alter your mail.

Add & remove anytime

Connect a new inbox in seconds; revoke one with a click. Your account list is yours to manage, always.

More sources coming

Gmail today. Calendar, Drive, Slack and Dropbox are on the roadmap — same multi-account model, same one connection.

Who it's for

If you juggle inboxes, this is for you.

founders

Personal, company, and investor inboxes — ask across all three without leaving the chat.

consultants

A separate alias per client. Find that one thread no matter which engagement it landed in.

operators & EAs

Managing several mailboxes on someone's behalf? Search them as one, keep them labeled apart.

everyone else

Personal + work + that Gmail from 2009 that still gets your receipts. All searchable at once.

Security is the product

Connecting your email is a trust decision. We built for it first.

Encrypted at rest

Every Gmail token is sealed with AES-256-GCM before it touches the database. The key lives in the host secret store, never in the code.

Strict per-user isolation

Your accounts are keyed to your identity and reachable only by you. A dedicated test proves no request can cross from one user to another.

Read-only, always

Only Gmail's readonly scope is requested. No send, no delete, no drafts — the connector physically cannot modify your mail.

Your mail stays yours

Message contents are never logged. Revoke any account instantly from your dashboard, or from your Google security settings.

Pricing

One honest price. Every inbox included.

No per-account fees, no seat math. Connect as many Gmail accounts as you want.

Why so cheap?

Throughline does one thing exceptionally well. It's a small, focused tool — priced like one, not like enterprise software you'll use 5% of.

Cancel anytime. Disconnecting your accounts revokes our access immediately.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Is this an app I install? +

No. Throughline is a hosted connector. You add it to your AI client (like adding any MCP server) by pointing at one URL — nothing to download, no browser extension.

Which AI tools does it work with? +

Any client that supports the Model Context Protocol — Claude and Claude Desktop, Perplexity, Cursor, and a growing list of others. If it speaks MCP, it works.

Can it read all my email? What about privacy? +

It requests Gmail's read-only scope, so it can search and read messages but never send, delete, or change anything. Access tokens are encrypted with AES-256, message contents are never logged, and you can revoke any account instantly.

How many accounts can I connect? +

As many as you like — pricing doesn't change with account count. Each one gets a nickname so results stay clearly labeled.

What can it actually do today? +

Search across all your connected Gmail accounts and return merged, source-tagged results. More Gmail actions and new providers (Calendar, Drive, Slack, Dropbox) are on the roadmap.

What does the $2/month cover? +

Hosting, token security, and keeping the connector current as MCP clients and Google's APIs evolve. The one-time $9.99 covers onboarding.

Stop tab-switching

Give your assistant every inbox.

Two minutes to connect. One search across all of it. Every answer labeled by source.
